wheel swap question
I bought a 97 f150 xl with steel wheels that I wanted to replace with alloys. So I found a set on Ebay off a 2002 (same bolt pattern), but the 97 has 12mm studs and the 02 14mm studs and the center caps snap onto the nuts so I need to go to the larger studs. Do alloy wheeled trucks all come with the larger studs, If so would new rotors take care of the front and what will I need for the rear? Thanks.

I would think by the time you bought the other rims and did all the swapping you could buy a nice set of new rim that have the correct size stud holes, ect. Then you don't have all the work involved.

depending on which wheels you have and want to replace, you might be able to jus put your old center caps on the new wheels. there are some that are the same from say 97-03. the stud sizes on the inside are different.
