weird question

Can anyone with a Larait, King ranch or FX4 tell me how big the factory fender flares are? I want to know the measurement from the edge of the wheel well to the top edge of the fender flare. Not how much they stick out from your truck, but how much they cover.
Unfortunately, I scratched up the new truck and thought that maybe if the factory fender flares are wide enough like 3" or so, I might be able to cover up the scratches. Thanks in advance for any answers.

they will cover about 2 5/8" of your fender.

Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately, that might not be enough. I might have to look at getting a bigger aftermarket fender flare. Any suggestions out there?
