Hi everyone, I recently got my 351M tuned right up, it has little to no oil pressure on the factory gauge (installing manual gauge shortly) but runs great with no ticking or knocking. How much will the engine benefit from a Weiand stealth intake manifold, Holley 600cfm carb, Hooker headers and a single 3" exhaust. Is it worth it or should I stick with the two barrel and stock exhaust manifolds. Just would like some opinions. Thanks.
I think these up grades would be worth it, to unlesh some hidden performance.(consider dual exahaust, for better free flowing exahaust).
I'm going to tune up my 400,(it was a new block 70k ago) I'll be puting a new intake manifold,4 barrel carb 600cfm, headers, dual exahaust, I'd like to put in a cam and a msd ignition, and from what I've heard about these engines, you don't need much more than that to get alot of performace out of them.
About the oil pressure, see what the new gauge shows. If it runs around 25-50 it should be fine.
These motors are notorious for low oil pressure but they tend to last a long time with no problems. most the time on a non rebuilt motor anywhere from 10-15 idle is normal. carb intake and exhaust will open things up quite a bit.i would sugest going with dual 2.5" though. any bigger than that and u will start to lose low end torque. hope that helps

I already have 2.5" into 3" y-pipe into a single 3" Flowmaster 40 series on the truck because it is a bronco and it looked like getting dual exhaust under it would be a little tricky, my first choice was dual 2.5 but I was advised against it.
