Changing Compression

If we put a 240 head on a 300 six, how much will it raise my compression?

It depends on the size of the combustion chamber, in relation to the stock one. If your stock was 100cc, at 8:1 compression, and your new chamber is 50cc, you will have a new ratio orf 16:1. That would make some power.
