'04 Headlight bulb replacement....
I just got the replacement for my dead '93 (gotta love 16 y.o.'s that run stop signs). The replacement: '04 FX4 LvLII. My '93 had silverstar 9007's in her, which I forgot to pull (they were only about 2 months old) when the insurance company towed her off to auction. I went ahead and picked up another pair of silverstars to place into my new ranger. However, I can't for the life of me figure out how to access the headlight bulb to switch them out. [ sarcasm ]Ford apparently saw it amusing to place the engine crossbar behind the headlamp assembly so that you can't get your hand in to even pop the pins to release the wiring to the bulb. I've checked the manual (the little one that comes in that lovely fabric zipper binder in the glove compartment) and it states to remove "the 2 screws and cover (if equipped)." I'm thinking I must be mildly retarded to not figure this out, thus why I'm posting. LOL So any help, flames, your a dumb comments, constructive criticism, etc are appreciated. [ /sarcasm ]

Glad you figured it out. I would have answered for you had you not, I sold Fords for about a year and know a fair amount about them, especially the ranger because I also have a 2004 FX4 Level II. Mine is black with black leather and a manual tranny. Those little pull up tabs can be a bit deceptive.
