Hi im new here and looking for help with replacing my steering wheel.I have recently purchased a 97 ford and i want to put on a aftermarket wheel, any help is appreciated
First remove the negative battery terminal. You don't want the air bag deploying in your face.
On the back of the steering wheel are 2 round covers. Pop them out and then remove the nut behind each one. Pull the airbag out of the wheel, disconnect the electrical connectors, and place it face up outside the truck.
Remove the bolt that holds the wheel to the column and then pull the wheel off with a 2 jaw gear puller. There are 2 oblong holes near the center of the wheel to put the puller jaws in.
