Is it pinging?
I have a 94 f150, 302, auto 4x4. I get this noise coming from the engine when I lug it that sounds like a ping but it seems to be happening when only one cylinder fires. I don't think it is a manifold leak. The timing is on and I put new plugs wires cap and rotor on recently. Could it be that one fuel injector is partially clogged and causing a very lean condition in only that cylinder? Has anyone else experienced this. The engine runs great otherwise.
