computer upgrade
i recently purchased a hypertech pulg in computer module for my 97 F-150. ive also installed a K&N aircharger and have a flowmaster cat-back exhaust as well. thing is, the hypertech module was VERY intermittent in its performance due to the contacts. apparently they were aware of the problem but were sending out units anyway. my question here is, who are other manufacturers that distribute either 1) plug on chips, or 2)entire replacement modules in lieu of the vehicles stock module. when the hypertech chip was working there was a noticeable improvement in performance but when it wasnt working it felt like my transmission was getting ripped out. any suggestions would be most appreciated.
