My passenger window got stuck this weekend in the up position. I don't use that window much at all, so I would assume it's just caught. I can't hear the motor moving either. I took the door panel off, the plastic off, and tried to move the big horizontal arm that moves the window up and down. Nothing.
I can't even tell how the motor/gear box comes out! It looks like it has a few rivets, but I can only find one that's mounted to the box, and my Haynes manual is useless.
Any suggestions? The motor has power going to it, but it appears stuck.
I think there are 2 or 3 Bolts holding the motor in. To get one bolt you have to drill a hole in the door. There is a small "dimple" arund the motor area, that's where you drill. The other bolt(s) are easy to get to, you can see them.
There was infact 4 rivets, and I did remove them, and I guess you have to remove the motor before you take the arm out of the door? Once I removed it and re-greased the entire setup and track. It works fine now.
BTW, I messed up that plastic guard pretty well, can I order a new one from Ford?
