I've searched the threads of the site and haven't found a good recommendation for headers that will bolt up to my 351C in a '67 SWB. Actually I found many good recommendations, just not one that directly applied to my setup. I have power steering and I haven't settled on which tranny I'm gonna put in.
Anybody got any suggestions on headers I can get that won't have clearance problems for the starter or power steering?
Do I have to have the tranny in first to ensure the fit of the Headers?
You didn't say what heads are on the motor. The 4v heads have a different/larger exhaust ports are larger than the 2v variety. The 2v cleveland head is essentially the same port configuration as a 400 or 351 modified. You might test fit a set of 351 modified type headers, but they will probably not fit into the chassis as designed because of the larger dimension of the modified block. I contemplated the same swap as you are doing and never followed through. Your motor mount pads and towers will probably affect the fit also. Supposedly a 302/351 windsor setup will fit the cleveland as a bolt in due to its smallblock style dimensions..
