First let me introduce myself. I recently bought my first SD XLT 2001 F-250, with a 5.4 V8. I'd had driven a 1987 F150, for many years and was realy excited to move on up to a bigger truck.
I have found this Forum to be realy informative, but when it comes to my exhaust, a bit confussing as well. I am interested in the Flowmaster exhaust system. But when I follow the links in others posts, as to where I can get one, they don't list my truck.
Welcome to the SuperDuty Family. I too have a 5.4L and my exhaust is all stock except the 3 chamber Flowmaster muffler I had installed. I couldn't find a cat back set up that I liked and decided to just change the muffler. By the way, it sounds great.
I had a custom Y Pipe back 3" exhaust with a Flowmaster 40 Series that ends with a Lightning style exhaust exit forward of the right rear wheel. Sounds great and you can really blast someone if they have their window open and you punch it! Only cost me about $250 after everything was said and done.
