oil pan drag link problems
i recently lowered my 1974 f-100 4'' up front, i cut the coils to do so. i also rebuilt the 390 for in the truck. my problem came about when i purchased a milodon rear sump oil pan for the motor. when i dropped the motor in the oilpan hit the draglink. i had to take out the draglink and tie rods. now i have the motor sitting in there all pretty and i ahve no way of steering it !!!!! could the clearence problems be from not using the lowering i-beams? has anyone ran into this problem before? according to milodon this pan should work on the truck. any help is greatly appriciated !!!!!! thanks matt

I guess if the 390 has enough power now, you could just pull wheelies and install separate brake levers on each rear brake to steer it

How much clearance do you lack. Can you space up the frame mounts a little bit to clear it?
