Another find...it never ends does it?

Alright, When I replaced my windshield wiper there was a ground that broke. I didn't think much about it at the time, I was just so happy to have use of my windshield wipers. Now it's pestering me. The wire terminates behind the engine to the rbelow and to the right of the PCV valve. IF any of you wonderful people can give me a clue as to what this goes to or how important it is I will gladly raise a glass to you tonight.

By "terminates" do you mean it has a connector or a ring?

Each cylinder head has its own ground strap to ensure good grounding of the spark plugs. I suppose it could be the wire in question.

To tell you the truth Grey I can't really tell. It goes back there and connects to something but to be honest with you I can't see where. Tomorrow I'm going to get one of my wife's make-up mirrors and see if i can see what it connects to. the only thing I know for sure is where it was grounded(behind one of the bolts that holds on the wiper motor) and where it disapears to(below and to the right of the pcv valve) I know I'm not giving much info but I'll see if i can provide more tomorrow.

If you can get a color you can cross-reference it with an electrical diagram.

Hey man, quick question. What year model?? If it's a 78/79 it sounds like it may be the body to Intake ground. Not sure about the newer models. But I'm pretty sure that's the only ground in that area on a 78/79.

Yeah - Rebel is right on track....

It definitely sounds like a "Body to Engine" grounding strap... Almost all vehicles I have replaced engines in... Be it GM, Ford Truck, GM Truck etc.... has a Body to engine grouding strap.

You should fix it so that you will have a good ground connection

It should be an engine to chassis ground if it is a braided poly covered wire. You can reattach the ground to a convenient place on the engine, a bracket or the like and have integrity on the ground connection. Loose or broken ground wires can lead to a myriad of problems. I'd get it connected, if you're sure it's a ground.
