back up light wire?
I just got a 98 F-150 w/ 4.6L and A/T and no towing Pkg. I need to know if anyone knows which wire in the bundle at the rear bumper if the back up lights.
My boat has disc brakes that will turn off when you back up (5 flat).

I cant take out the real tail lamp assembly without a lot of work because of the camper shell that this truck has on it. I was going to do that before I tried this.
I didin't see a pink w/ black wire in the bundle that the people who wired in the trailer plug tapped into. I'll have to look some more I guess.
Anyone else know for sure that this is the right wire?

Yes that is correct if they are same on 99's. I installed some back up lights in my aftermarket bumber and spliced off the black with pink stripes.
