steering adjustment

Since you guys are better, and get more right then my mechanic at the dealer i have another question, i spent around 800.00 dollars on frnt end work, new bushings, rods, and all the good stuff but my truck still drifts alot while driving, i was wondering if there is a way to adjust or tighten up the steering slop in the steeering box. If so how? please advise
thanks again

Have you run a search on this topic.? I'm sure its been discussed.
I think there is a bolt/screw with a jam nut on top of the steering box. You might be able to tighten it up if it is not worn out. Be careful as you can easily make it too tight and bind up or lock up in a turn and your day is toast.
Do a search first for more details.

Agreed, the steering box is very sensitive to MINOR inputs. Your best bet is prolly to replace it. Most seem to be pretty much worn out after about 150-200K miles

On top of the steering box is a nut and slotted screw. Un do the nut and turn the slotted screw clockwise to tighten, tighten the lock nut. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN you will have no steering. Try doing in small increments and see if it makes any difference. In the end you will probaly end up with a new box.
