I am in the process of completing a lightning engine swap (95 5.8L) into my 87 Bronco. I had pulled the motor over 2 yrs ago and I am experiencing some difficulties remembering the routing of some items, most predominately, the air injection hose plumbing for the smog pipe. I think that I may have possibly misplaced a diverter valve because I have been unable to route the hose and tube assembly along the right side header in a sensible way. Can anyone out there help me? Perhaps take a photo of the air tube routing? It would be much appreciated!!! I really want to get this done so I can hear her run!! I would also be open to come check out your truck in person to inspect the routing and take some pics, I am in Sewell, NJ about 20 minutes east of Phila. My e-mail is: ron.wiggins@comcast.net . Again, i would be eternally grateful for any help. Thanks
If you go on Ebay, this is usually someone that has factory Ford manuals on CD and/or DVD for sale. One thing though, make sure you are buying an original and not a copy. If you do buy a copy make sure the cost is low, an original may be more.
AND BY THE WAY: WELCOME TO FTE!!!!! MAke sure and check out the posting info and such.
I pulled all of my emissions off about 2 years ago, so I can't remember how it is supposed to go. Try going to nloc.net in the GEN 1 Lightning section and ask. I'm sure many of them would be glad to help.
Thanks for the quick response guys! I luv this site! I had checked some factory shop manuals at work but they did not contain any illustrations for the thermactor hose routing. I registered on nloc.net (I had no clue about that site, thanks!) Ford blue forever.....
