broken accelerator pedal
ok, the acceleator pedal on my 01 has a pin that the pedal slides on and a spring that holds the pedal to the metal bar under the pedal. for some reason my pedal keeps sliding off of the pin and the other day the spring fell off and i lost it somewhere in the truck. does anyone know how to fix this? do i need to just buy a new pedal assembly or something, its really bothering me cuz when i take my foot off the pedal, it will flip up and i have to push it back down with my foot otherwise it causes problems(gets in the way) when i go to hit the brakes. im just mainly looking to keep the pedal from sliding off the pin. if i can find the spring i was just thinking about either drilling a small hole in the pin and slipping in a cotter pin or just super gluing it or something. what do you guys think is best?
