help with boost gauge please

help with boost gauge please

hey guys i have a boost gauge and wanted to know where you guys have hooked them up in your trucks, im not too sure where to hook up the vacuum line in the engine compartment, any suggestions would be great, also what is the normal boost level on average.


truck is a 01 f-250 with 7.3 diesel

easiest way to do it is to "T" into the map line. put your hand on the oil fill cap, move it towards to passenger side fender you will hit the map sensor, it is a 2"x2" black box with a harness plugged into the front of it. on the back is a rubber hose that goes into the intake. "T" in to that hose close to the intake.

thnx wh!! what does the turbo normally run in psi? and do you know what it peaks at?

it is psi. your truck will run a max of 16-19psi stock.
