Hi, I was wondering if I could use the K&N Recharge Kit to charge the filter that came with my MAC Intake. And if I can at what intervals should I do it? I had it for 11 months and 8,000 miles already.
I'm pretty sure my MAC CAI suggested that you use the K&N recharge kit. I also think they suggested that it should be cleaned and recharged every 30,000 miles or so. A very long time.
I have the BBK kit on my Mustang and it was identical to the MAC kit for mustangs. Anyways since BBK doesn't have a cleaning kit I called them and they told me to use the K&N kit. I know I just compared an apple to an orange to the Nth degree, but take it for what it's worth.
Do you notice any difference with the MAC kit on the Expl? Do they make one for the 2002?
Thanks Mason, The MAC Tech finally responded, and he did say to use the K&N Filter but he didn't say at what mileage. But I think it was 25,000 miles.
Hey Neitz, At first it seemed that it took a second to respond but it I did notice some difference. Now that it responds on time. You should check their website to see if they make one www.macperformance.com
