E Break help
The driver side line is stuck in the rear on my E break,and is locking up some.Enough to make the calaper hot,and making take off a bit harder.Do i have to pull the wheel off and replace that line.How hard is it?What do i do?I noticed the line is rusted wear the tire kicks up road dirt,mud,water.

well on a drum brake there is no capliper, theres a drum and a slave cylinder. you could replace the line from behing the cab back. each side for the e brake at the local auto store is 12.99 a side. or you could just pull the wheel, drum and cut the e brake cable. just my .02

Thanks for correcting me on that one.I wasnt shure if i could cut it,but replacing it might be a better option.I still need a inspection sticker.Do i still have to remove the wheel to cut it.Or can i cut it at the out side of the drum?

Not sure a bout 250 but smaller e brake cables have to be removed from inside the brake drum (wheel /drum off) and disconnected from the rocker link on the brake shoeand then removed from brake back plate via a spring clip. A lot of these cables freeze up as noted above you can try some liquid wrench or PB blaster to free the cable inside the housing before breaking everything down. Spray it into the cable housing where the cable goes in and work it on and off while pulling/pushing on cable at equalizer - you may get it free enough to keep the brake from dragging.
