i am trying to build my truck with as much of a nostalgic flare as possible. so far its coming together just the way i like. i am kinda stumped on the front end. i removed the bumpers and am welding up the gravel pan. i want it as smooth as i can get it. i was looking for a way to mound some headlights and turn signals that still will have a old school vintage chopped n smoothed flare.
i was tinking about forgetting the grille entirely. mounting heahlights and markers in the front panels next to the radiator, and running a 3-4 bar bent tube grille accross the front. i saw this setup on a truck utilizing the 77 t-bird flipper headlights. i was even thinking about mounting the buckets back there then covering them with a panel that snaps or velcro's on. i have a set of them driving lights with the plastic covers that would work, but is that legal?.. i wouldnt have highbeams then. i was thinking about just mounting a set of small square turn flashers right below that. they wouldnt be markers that way, is that legal? i was just looking for ideas of headlights i could conceal easily but have when i neen them, as simple as pullung a cover is fine for me. any known apps or headlights that will work let me know, your help and ideas are appreciated.
