Ford has a problem with fuel pumps
My 1999 F350 4X4 with 38781 miles stranded me and the wife 4/3/05 cranked but would not start. Towed to the local Ford dealer Sunday and I got it back today $700 lighter in the billfold. Diagnosis fuel pump failure. Service manager told me 7 other Ford vehicles were towed into the dealer with fuel pump failures. He called Ford and their responds was the gas in our area has too much alcohol in the gas. When is Ford going to accept responsibility for producing a poor designed fuel pump, my wifes jeep uses the same gas as I do and no fuel pump failure on her jeep. If anyone else experiences fuel pump failure notify Ford and NTSB and maybe something will get done. Thank you for allowing me to vent.
