5.4 slow starting when warm

I have a 1999 EB Expediton 5.4. The vehicle runs great the only issue is this. If I try to start it when it is cold or has been sitting for a while it starts fine. If I drive it for a little while and shut it off, and try to start it again within 10-15 minutes, it will start, but usually on the second try and it is sluggish starting. Once it gets to ilde it is fine? I was thinking I might have an injector leaking and maybe flooding a cylinder. Has anyone else seen this?

Smile My Wifes Expo has it in the past 3 weeks

My wifes 2001 Expo 5.4L XLT has had it for the past 3 weeks. Just like you said. I was thinks that it could be the fuel regulator not keeping the pressure up, but maybe it could be an injector. It's going to the shop, it still under warrenty. I'll report back maybe next week.

Called the dealer today

I called the dealer today about this problem and he said it was the Fuel regulator valve. Seem fuel pressure should be at 40 psi for several minutes after engine cut off. There is a fuel pressure check valve that you can test at. I bet the pressure is at zero and at startup the fuel pump has to re pressurize.
