I have a 2000 SD CC with a 6.5" lift with 37" tires. I want to get the bushwacker cutout flares for the truck but I was wondering how much more tire size you can gain with the flares and if the 37x12.50 tire would look stupid with the flares.
There is a local truck with a 6" BDS and 39.5/15x16.5 TSLs on 16.5x9.75 wheels and it has been off road pretty hard from what I understand by one of the guys who has owned it....
37/12.50s will look small under the flares especially due to the width of the flares.

Cool thank you for the responce DC, So i could probably go up in size by like 2 tires sizes with my lift? funny thing is my ProCrap Lift kit sits 2inch higher than they specify since my truck is a 5.4
Yeah, the Pro Comp 6.5" does sit tall....39.5" tires should fit witihout an issue.....assuming you cut the front bumper to match the arc of the flares.
42s may fit as well....just not as much room for wheel travel.
FWIW, a 8" lift with cut-outs can fit 44s:
Although they fit better under a 12" (same truck):
FYI - I have 5.5 inches of lift compared to a stock F250 front height.
War_is_my_Shepard what width wheels are you running, they appear to be 12 inch wide.
I run 9.75 inch wide wheels but I have been thinking I would get better tire wear using 12s. I was curious as to how much closer the tire comes to the fender when fully turned with 12s.
Hey Flyboy... I think I found something tonight... I'm in a similar boat. I have 37 SSR's and a 6" BDS lift. If I really get bounce it around, I can just smack the front rear fender well. I've looked at the cutouts, but have been reluctant to brake out the hacksaw, in case I ever have to removed the lift - like when I trade in my 2003 for a 2008.
Check out these fiberglass front fenders. the back 37's fit fine on my truck, so I'm not too worried about the back. These fenders would fix my front, allow me to keep the stock fenders untouched, and costs the same as the set of Bushwacker cutouts.
I like those fenders ALOT! only thing that concerns me is they are fiberglass, knowing my luck I would slam my wheel into them and shatter them like glass. The benifit of the bushwackers is they are ABS plastic.
