need quick advice with shifter.

I found a Indy Hurst Shifter (3 speed manual) that Jegs say's will work on my truck, but the box say's it will only work up to a 79 Ford. I have an 81. They guaranteed it to work and if it doesn’t then I can get a refund. But I found one cheaper on eBay, so I was wondering if anyone has used this shifter before and knows if it will work on a 1981 F-100. Any information is appreciated.

If the transmission is the same (i.e. a C6) then it will work, its just a question of how much work it is to get it to Work

It will work up to '86 it's for the ford 3.03 trans. make sure you get the floor boot to go with it - the kit does not come with a boot - extra cost - naturally!
