Hey Pro...

Hey guys, dont know if ya'll remember me but i used to visit here quite often and then my computer crashed and just bought a brand new one so now i'm back. If you forgot i have a 1970 F-250 with a 466, 4'' skyjacker lift, and 42" Iroks. My question for you pro is about the Dana 60 front that you have. I am having a hell of a time keeping a front end in mine (go figure huh). I understand that you have a 60 front from an 80's early 90's Ford 350. I have this same front axle and was wondering what you had to do to get it to fit. I plan on fully hydraulic steering. I'm hoping that all i have to do is move the passenger side spring perch to fit to the narrower frame of the 70' F-250.

Thomsen, if you only move the passenger's side perch your axle will be way off center. Since the driver's side perch is cast into the pumpkin you don't really have much a choice but to build wider spring hangers and shackle brackets to match the spring perch width. This is what Pro did on his.

Btw, good to see you back.

Yeah Ivan that is what i was afraid i was going to have to do. The axle is still under the 89 F-350 and i couldnt tell for sure how much offset there would be. I was hoping maybe i could get by with just moving the passenger mount and possibly using a wheel spacer on the driver side (kinda hack i know) But i do have a plasma cutter, mig welder and some fab skills so i guess that is the road i'll have to take. I guess i'll be able to get a few more inches of lift, if i want, by lowering the mounts then too. Just to let you guys in on my mods since last time i was around include...Racing seats, five point harnesses, 42'' irocs on black rock crawler wheels, 466 big block swap with shcoenfeld tractor pull headers, stealth intake, holley dbl pumper, K&N velocity stack, 2''spacer, homemade driveshaft loops, and welded rear Dana 60. Now i am going through more 44 front ends than i can stand. Obviously now i am trying to get a 60 under there and hopefully not break it...NO MORE JUMPING!!! I also really need some fully hydraulic steering, the old 1970 armstrong steering is just not cutting it anymore, especially with the 42's. Oh and its good to be back. Thanks fellas...later.

Hey Thomsen, truck buildup sounds pretty sweet, I'm digging it. Yea, I just moved my hanger points out for the wider perches on those new axles. Pretty much the best plan with those d60s. Good luck with the no more jumping
