I have a 65 f-100, I live in South Jersey and I'm planning on going to Spring Carlisle for the first time. Is this a good source for truck parts or should I wait untill the truck show in august?
1 lots of ricers,
2 lots of cookie cutter slammed chevy mini trucks, including one held together with vice grips LOL
3 not nearly enuff ford parts or trucks,
AND MY PERSONAL HIGHLIGHT>>>>>
the slick factory original 4x4 truck, well was at least till me and Garbz and couple others with us pointed out a F10 VIN on the door tag aint a 4wd Vin, and man what a holy raging temper fit was thrown there by the guy "I own it, I would know" and all we could do was run before he got ammo, and get this, $8000 ROTFLMAO!
Oh ya, can't forget my sunburn, get a nasty one every time LOL!
To the original poster...
Spring Carlisle is huge, lots of stuff for everyone. Truck specific...well, some of the vendors are there, and we always manage to find a few folks with truck parts. The hunt is half the fun.
Leave early to get there early...the traffic blows.
Do not go to the truck show, it's an overpriced waste of time. Go to the Ford show in June instead.
Capt & garbz...I would have done the same exact thing....I woulda pretended I was interested in buying it, etc.....doortags never lie.....I am the same way.....I ck door tags 1st thing, be it on a rig Im looking at buying or in a wrecking yard....I like to know what it really is and if the story jives with the ID info....I would be willing to bet, that guy who went bullistic on you guys had bowties running thru his veins rather then blue ovals.....
Ya gotta keep honest people honest and call the pthers when ya see their wrongdoings.....
Cant help but wonder if it sold, and if the buyer knew the deciphering of the 1st 3 digits at least.....Hope so...
