Eec Help

Can anyone tell me if a speed density computer will operate a Mass Air Flow system?

No it will not. It is the computer that determines what type of EFI the vehicle is. The programming is different between the two computers.

No, a speed density computer picks up a frequency signal from the MAP, while a MAF sensor has varying voltage output signal. Also, i belive the trucks with MAF have a couple more O2 sensors and stuff.

Can we at least agree that they're different and not interchangeable? I think that was the point....

Yeah, non interchangeable. I shouldn't go on, but the type of input the computer receives is irrelevant. Even it the map sensor was a voltage varying input to the computer, attaching a voltage varying mass flow meter to the same input would not work. You have a speed density computer, and a mass air computer which are not one in the same.
