I have a 292. I bought a NOS water pump and it matches the timing cover just fine, but the flange that you attach the pulley and fan is shorter that the one I took off.
Is this from an earlier year, mine is a 60?
Can I just get a pulley from a previous year?
Do any of you guys have one laying around? My pulley measures 2 5/8" when laying flay on a table, I need one that is about 2".
The answer is I have the wrong water pump. The one I have is for a car engine not a truck engine. I got the correct one today at the local parts store for $43 and after some paint , it looks and fits great.
