300 6 Interchangeability

Hey all you motorheads. Does anyone know if there were any block changes made over the years for the 300? Specifically, I have a '93 with a 300. When it comes time to rebuild another block to drop into it, are there any year blocks I would want to stay away from? It would really be irritating to rebuild a block only to discover I couldn't drop it into my truck and have everything bolt up.

300 6 Interchangeability

The only thing I can think of which is minor is where the pre fuel injected engines fuel pump mounted . Its like most pre fuel injected engines , the place where the fuel pump was located has a steel plate there now . If you take care of the 300 you have now , not saying that you dont already , it will be several yrs before you ever have to worry about rebuilding or replacing it .
