Traction Lock rear?

What are my options for my '05 with a 4.2L + AOD XL work truck?
I got a little stuck last week and if both wheels spun I would have been fine.
Just wondering how much it would cost me to get this?

I think it's only about 300 bucks. It's much better than an open rear end, but it's not great. Do a search here and you'll see what I mean.

Joe, I'n not sure what you mean? You have the truck, right? And are thinking of adding the 'posi' rearend? Or modding your rear?

I want to have the open rear gears pulled and replaced with a traction lock with the same (or as close to it) gearing.

That's what I was thinking you meant. Do you have the 8.8 inch, or the large one?
My thought is while it's cheap to order, it would cost an arm/leg aftermarket. I would like to change my rear gears down to 3.73 from the stock 3.55, but half the dealerships won't do it, and the other half want about 700 bucks. Not quite worth it. And that's not a limited, that's an open rear.
I don't actually want a limited, myself, as there are too many people beefing about clutch pack etc. problems. They also seem to limit the cornering of these trucks. That surprises me, as I have had a number of various types of non slipping rears and never had them 'chirp' or chatter in the corner except if they had the wrong kind of lube.

I have seen 3.73 rears with posi offered on e-bay, but you know how it is with a used rear. One was great, out of a project truck, had about 100 miles on it, but it was the wrong gears for me to even consider. 3.55.
