Door Open Light will not go off?
Has anyone had this problem and what did they find wrong. It doesn’t happen all the time, but sometimes the Door open light will stay of when I am driving. I get out check all the doors and they are all closed tight. The light will not go off. Then all of a sudden the next time get in and go it’s off. Any input would be great. Thanks

Mine did it twice when it was really cold out. I just washed it and I think water froze somewhere. Cause when you would shut a door the dome lights and doorlight stayed on. The next day it was usually ok

Seems to be a common problem with the fords. I have had 2 trucks (97 F150 XLT and 2000 F250) and they have both have done it. I bought some time by spraying the latch area with WD40 but when it was all said and done I had to replace the switches.

My old '08 Ford Ranger had this problem. I just sprayed some white greese in the door latch (latch is also the sensor), opened/closed the door a dozen times, 1 more squirt for good measure, and that fixed the problem. That was about two years ago and it has not acted up again.
