Made $20 yesterday some guy that knew me ask if i could pull his friend's jeep out of a pond so i said sure went out to where he was and there it was half in the mud and water not bad hooked up the tow straps and pulled him out. Now why this happen him stuck was he was drunk and thought he could make it with very wide street tires yes street tires not at's or mt's and he hates Fords
and it was a Ford that pull him out his friends are not gonna let him forget that either. Now on a more somber note i do have 3.55 gears check'em yesterday morning and they are open sighs my hopes are flushed down the drain that they might have been at least limited slip.
haha.... I have played wrecker MANY times..... I've never been able to bring myself to takin any money for it though (although, in your situation, it was a good thing).....
I've towed a broke down Ford, Yota, Ford, and I think a CHEVY before..... and "un-stuck" Fords, Dodges, CHEVYs, Jeeps, and Yotas....of course, that was back when I was driving the Explorer everyday and I had my tow strap with me.....
now that I drive the Olds, I don't think I could tow a turtle.
Drunk+mud hole=stuck it doesn't matter what they are driving...LOL.
A friend of mine years ago go his Ranger stuck in a mud hole/pond. He called me to come get him out. At the time I had a 71 Nova that ran in the low 12's. I went out there and gave it hell but those big slick Mickey's just wouldn't do it...LOL
I never charge for pulling someone out.......unless it's a chevy with the Calvin wizzing on FORD. Then I make them remove the sticker before I pull them out.
Thomas, you might see if you could find someone to swap the 3.55's for something lower if they were looking for better gas mileage. Might be a good time to send up a flag.
what size tires are ya running?? b/c if you're running like 38s or something, then I'd strongly recommend not "living with" the gears, and gear yourself lower..... its harder on your drivetrain.... but 33's or something, you'd be fine.
