What's the P/N for the Walker downpipe, and does it work with the 1991 and up EFI manifolds?
I cut off my cat's (just infront of the front cat), fabbed up a Y-pipe, and pieced together a system with a Flowmaster 40-Series muffler this past summer on my 1993. Unfortunately it was a quick fix, and thus is pretty leaky...not to mention obnoxiously loud. Not only that, but I lost ALL my bottom end power. I'm wanting to redo it, but have no intention of paying $300+ for a new headpipe/cat. converter section. If the Walker will fit that would be excellent as I'm planning to use the Summit 2.25" cat-back kit!
Walker y-pipe part number is 45166 and Jegs usually has them in stock(summit seams to always be on backorder for them). My setup is a little loud as it also has the 40 series muffler, but it's not to bad. If you get one, you will need to smooth the passage on the inside of the rear downpipe of the y. Mine wasn't exactly cut right. It was a little bit of a bitch to get to seat and not leak by myself, but if you have a helper to position it while you tighten it will go on pretty easy. Almost forgot, yes it will work with the EFI manifolds, that's what I have.
HTH.

Thanks for the info. For simplicity reasons, I'm just going to go with the Summit kit. The hard part will be adjusting to not having to yell to carry on a conversation while driving down the road. lol
