I want to install a shift kit on my E4OD tranny. I have around 96,000 miles on it right now. I don't have any problems with they tranny execpt the 1 to 2 shift is a little lazy.
I do a lot of towing with a 14ft. 2,500# trailor. Through all kinds of conditions. I do have a tranny cooler from factory.
I am looking for one that makes my shift much harder and quicker...
What shift kits have you guys/gals used? Any one you prefer over another?
I had an E4OD in a 96 Bronco. Like clock work the transmission would need work every 105k - 115k miles. I would wait until something major happens like a rebuild to put a shift kit. I like to think when major things go so long stock, modifying them so late in the stage tends to bring troubles. Just my thought.
