While traveling to Branson, Missouri, we stopped at a place called Pickles' Gap, which had a couple of '56 Ford firetrucks parked out front. This was on US-65, headed north, not long after we exited I-40, near Litte Rock, Arkansas. The F-750 had what appeared to be a Y-block, with rams horn exhaust manifolds. The F-800 had an FE engine under the hood. I'll try to post a couple of photos tomorrow.
Nope, but that don't mean they can't be bought. The '56 panel that I had and the '56 F-350 that is going to be my wrecker were both obtained by being, as my pastor says, a "Master Asker". In other words, I just kept asking until the owners were ready to sell. Call or go by the place, inquire and leave a way to get in contact with you. Works for me!
