transfer case problem
i posted to the transmission section earlier about my transfer case popping out if gear while driving. since then, i let the fluid out and i'm getting plastic!! peices coming out. what is this?? it still drives in lw, but grinds in high. HELP!!

If its the BW 1356 then about the only thing inside thats plastic is the oil pump pickup tube . If the pickup tube has broken loose youd be best advised not to drive the truck until its repaired .

transfer case problem
In my 1356, the tips of the shift forks have a teflon / plastic insert in them. Maybe to reduce metal to metal contact. There is also a spring that presses against the shift rail.
I have a breakdown of the 1356 that I got from my dealer, I could scan it and post it if needed.
