I finally bit the bullet and bought a 68 Bronco today. I've wanted one of these trucks from the time I started driving. I can't wait to get started on it, but it's going to have to get in line behind some training for work and my 76 F100 Frame Up. I look forward to this forum and I will certainly be asking all kinds of questions just like on the 76 Truck forum.
The pics I took are too big and my photo shop program was lost on my old crashed computer.
Its stock and mostly original. The small Inline 6 with a three on the tree. Runs like a top and that's why I bought it. Baby blue looking paint, don't know the official color, but it's the original paint.
I still need to finish the frame up of my 76 F100. The original plan was to cut my teeth on the 76, get my learnin and do all the screwing up on that project. Then use my knowledge to get the Bronco done right the first time.
I would like to drop in a V8, probably 302, and make it EFI. After that, most of the work will be body work and creature comforts. I can't figure out if I want to cut it and lift it, but that will come with time. I sure like the original looks though.
Paint can size images (Image/attributes) , or if you want to download free irfanview.
Congratulations on the purchase. Are you just going to cruise this rig or put it on the trail? If the body is in good shape, I would say leave it unless you are going to wheel it. A lift won't hurt, but don't cut the fenders. Looking forward to the pics!
