where to start? cat. would be my guess but spendy. pcv stuck? lean out mixture? tune up probably wouldn't do much. six runs great except for an off idle stumble once warm - dies if gas is feathered off idle. any suggestions would be great. avoid "passing emission" additives? only getting about 12 mpg also. thanks, jeremy
538 came up - insufficient rpm change or cylinder identification sensor fail. significant? another thing i noticed - the idle air mngmnt valve is peeing are in pulses. this valve has a vac line going into the back diaphram and a filter of some sort on the other side. the valve lies in between a hose going to the air/smog pump and another paralleling the block on the pass. side to the exhaust i think. should this valve be pulsing air out or in? should i just replace the cat or go further? as far as i knew the 300 six doesn't have emission problems. should i play with the EGR, PCV, idle air conrol valve? suggestions, comments, thanks.
