I NEED A LITTLE HELP. JUST GOT MY NEW SPA DUAL DIGITAL EGT/BOOST GAUGE FROM UPS TODAY. CAN SOMEONE RECOMMEND A SPOT TO INSTALL THE PRESSURE SENSOR...INTAKE, ELBOW, BOOST TUBES?????. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. I'M ON YAHOO IF ANYONE HAS MESSENGER , SN mark_1960_2004. THANKS ALL, MARK

 

Check my gallery for the pictures. I installed the boost sensor in the inlet elbow to the manifold (directly in front of the Oil filter housing on top). There are 3 bolts that hold the elbow on and a rubber o-ring like seal between it and the intake. Before you remove the elbow, hold the sensor up to it and mark the location. The sensor needs to be pointed so the oil filter is not obstructed. I put a piece of foam seat cusion on my drill press and drill the hole. Be sure to clean all fillings out of the elbow prior to reassembly.

I fed the sensor lead through the channel above and behind the oil filter and across to the Master cylinder.

For the EGR probe, slide under your truck from the drivers side and look up towards the left manifold. There is a flat spot and enough room to get an air drill up in there to drill the hole. Put some gun grease on your bit and then run a magnet up into the hole to catch any fillings that the grease doesn't catch. If you have a square tap holding socket and extension it is a big help to tap the manifold. thread the probe into the manifold snuggly.
I routed the EGT lead up along the Wiring loom that is attached to the tunnel just left of the of the manifold's flat spot. I coiled the remainder of the leads from the boost sensor and the EGT and zip tied them to a hole right behing the main fuse panel. There is a space beside the fuse panel that you can tie the EGT adapter plug to as well. Remove the plastic plug from the firewall below and to the left of the master cylinder and drill a hole just big enough to feed the connectors through and reinstall it in the firewall hole. Feed the leads from the inside out and connect every thing.
