Overhead console temp sensor

Just wondering if anyone could tell me exactly where the temp sensor for the overhead console is located? I know its near the front somewhere, but I can't find it. Thanks...

Not sure what year you have, but it looks like the location may vary by year. See this link... https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...erature+sensor

Well, actually, I have a ranger....but I have installed an overhead console from an explorer. Now I just need the temp sensor. I found a wrecked explorer with the console, but I can't seem to find the sensor. I belive it was like a 97-99 or so. If anyone else can help me out on descibing exactly where to look, that'd be great.

I know on the lincolns and older explorers it was the abs sensor in the rear end.

It's supposed to be up in the front near the headlight I think, but I just was trying to get a specific spot.....hard to dig around on a wrecked truck.
