I bought it used,and noticed on my very first vegas trip that under hard braking,The front end would shimmy!,,Well, I assumed it was the brakes,so I knew I was gonne have to deal with them eventually,but I drive mostly around town and at like 45 mph so...no big deal...cause it seemed to stop fine!
Well, my lf tire was wearing REALLY bad,so I decided to take it in and have alignment adjusted and replace front tires. When on the rack the second time,trying to figure out why the truck was pulling HARD right upon braking now, rsted my hand on top of tire..and it moved!!
Apparantly the wheel bearing is TOAST! geez!!!
So,I need to address this problem and was hoping one of you kind folks familiar with this site could direct me to some"how to" post on this subject and brakes( hopefully with some pics!)

Btw, I can wrench fairly well, but as of yet haven't tackled the front end of a super-duty! Any pitfalls to avoid or tips to make this easier?

to take wheel bearing off took me 45 minutes first time.... 10 minutes second time..(with air tools). it is not hard....
take tire off, take brake caliper off, then the rotor slides off, your looking at the wheel bearing assembly.. only held on by four studs, unclip your hub and pull it out, unclip the c-ring and two washers and remove them, then unbolt the four studs from the knuckle bearing slides right off, new bearing slides right on and reverse order assembly!... only catch is you have to re-use your studs.. i did that on my first one, very easy IF you have Stud removal tool... second time i knew it was going out i bought new studs from the dealer they were $10 bucks for all four.... already had them in the new bearing before i started.. (thats why the second time only took me 10 minutes!)... its real easy.
