Ac bracket?

The AC compressor on my 72 F250 (390) seems to vibrate/shake quite a bit. Its all new and works like a champ, but it shakes quite a bit.

I'm thinking that there should be a brace going from the intake manifold to the top of the compressor.

Can anyone validate if this is correct?

I seem to remember having a similar brace/bracket on Mustangs that I've had in the past.

Thanks.

The 69-72's with factory air has a brace from the corner of the compressor to the drivers side exhaust manifold. There's a boss or flat area with a hole that the brace goes to. It's part number C5MY 2889-A. It fits Ford cars and Merc since 1965.
If it's add on dealer installed air, it's part number D2TZ 2889-B. This one bolts to the left side of the intake. The coil bolts to it. There's another on the hang on system that goes to the right side of the intake. It's part number D2TZ 2888-A. I looked on the locator and could only find the last number for the add on air.

Green Sales, Cinci, Oh. 1-800-543-4959 qty 2 in stock

The braces for both styles fit up to 1976 on Ford trucks with the 360-390.

Barry.
