Tailgate Window Doesn't Work
The rear window on my 1989 bronco doesn't work. Tried replacing the motor with no help. Turns out that the motor works fine if I hook it up direct to the battery. I was going to replace the front and rear operating switches, but it turns out that they are no longer made. Any Ideas?? Thanks Tom

Try these guys and check the circuit breakers that feed the two switches first. If they aren't resetting, you may only need to replace them. (They reset automatically once a short has been cleared).

Try Wiring
I had the same trouble with my '96 and got together new/working switchs and while pulling out the key switch, realized I had a broken wire between the body and gate where the wires sort of twist when the gate moves. 18"
of new wire and 2" of shrinktube and "presto" - up and down ever since.
