Tranny Running hotter

Last weekend I put in the sonnax valve and tricum springs, changed the filter and fluid. Now I can tell a small differance in the shifts but the tranny is running about 50 degrees hotter. Any ideas to what may have caused this??

double check the fuild level (when hot), if its too high or too low that can cause it run hot. putting the valve and springs it should help it run cooler.
also when you changed the filter did you make sure the old O-ring came out (sometimes they get stuck in the filter neck tube)
