Have 91 F350 dully.
Raining cats and dogs and went to put on brakes and rearend started bouncing severely and brake pedal pulsed. Let off and tried again and same thing happened. Scared the heck out of me.
Machanic stated the ABS in rear was pulsating.
What caused this and how can it be stopped?
You can't stop it. The pulsating I mean. The Anti-Lock Braking System is designed to pulsate when the wheels start to lock up to prevent them from locking up in wet or slick conditions. Evidently it was slick enough to work!
Thanks alot I guess.
I was really hopeing it would be something fixable.
Oddly enough, I was traveling @ a very slow speed and have traveled in heavy rains before without this occurring.
Again, thanks.
