what size cam

what size cam

I have a 352 motor that i would like to put a cam in. What else should i replace to do this? and what size would you people sugest?

i dont want anything to rough like i am at a drag strip but i dont want it stock something in that happy medium .

i have a 4 speed behind it so not really worried about that

how smooth of an idle?

this is not a daily driver so i am not worried to much about it

what would be that largest cam i could get

would i need to change anything else that is not in this kit?

Is the motor original, and if so, do you know if it was a 2bbl or 4bbl? The 4bbl's usually had higher compression, one of my books shows the 2bbl at 8.9:1

So, pick the biggest cam you can that will work with that compression.

That cam kick you linked to is a 284/284 duration. That's kinda high for only 8.9:1 compression... guys?
