I am concidering rewiring my 77 f250, I have read in these posts that Ford may have used wiring that was too small a guage to last. Also the cost of new harnesses are more than I am willing to spend and ultimately I am not sure that the guages used are sufficient. My truck had been sitting for some time and I have been successful in curing a number of minor electical problems ( with help from you folks). I guess what I want to know is has anyone rewired one wire at a time or am I taking on more than I can chew. Many of my wires are brittle or corroded and are waiting to fail at the most inconvienient moment
I rewired a 54 1/2 ton one wire at a time in 71. The connectors are probably going to be the biggest problem with a "home made" rewire.
Check out Painless wiring to see if they have kits for your truck.

I'm in the east end of Scarborough, so Oshawa isn't that far. Would you please send me the address for this outfit so I can put it in my book?
Thanks !
