Poor running

I have tried the other suggestions on my 88 F350 without luck. Still to keep the truck running you have to pump the gas pedal. If you leave the gas pedal in any spot it will die, including idle. I've changed the cap wire plugs rotor fuel filter pump in the tank. It looks like it has an extra amount of condensation in the exhaust. Please give me some ideas on what it might be.
Thanks

How does it die out? Surging then dies out or does it simply lose power then conk out? You could have a vacum leak, carb flooding out, blown head gasket, tps is failing. Try a more intense visual check and some further diagnosing.

The truck is an 88 thus eliminating the chance of carb problems since it is fuel injected. I have followed the vacum diagram and found no leaks. The oil has no water and the water has no oil to suspect a head gasket. It does not seem to surge when it dies, but just dies like it doesn't try to keep running.

I would check the fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator. When was the last time the truck was tuned up? You may need to check the trucks engine codes. Good luck.

Scratch my above post. The edit function would not work for me for some reason. I would check the fuel pressure regulator. I would also check for blockage in the exhaust system. You should probably take a vacuum reading just to see what type of vacuum pressure you have. I would check the engine codes also. Good luck.

Unhook your EGR valve vaccum hose and see if this helps. It could be causing your problems. I had a 91 with a problem of not running when I started it up. The egr was the problem
