My plastice bed caps on my truck are starting to grey and look chalky. Anyone found a good cleaner/protectant that keeps them looking nice? I've tried a couple of Meguiars products but they still don't look good.
How about how do you get wax out of the black rails? a tiny bit of carnuba wax got on my rails in a couple places. It goes on, it don't come off.
Chris
I use the "Back in Black" stuff also. Truck is still too new to tell what the long term effects will be. We don't get a lot of sunshine up here in western Washington though.
Funny you mention Meguiars, I actually started noticing this problem after I tried Meguiars Gold Class and NXT Vinyl/Plastic protectants (not at the same time, but one during one wash/wax and the other during the next). Sounds like the Back2Black may be worth a try.
Eagle One Wax as you dry is what I use and have done so for years on all plastic parts. First spray it on the body panel and then after you wipe the panels wipe the plastic parts next to it. I use it on a '96 Toyota until I sold it in '02 and the Truck looked just like it did on day one, the dealer could not belive that it had stayed in Tx that long and the rubber and plastic looked new. Just my 2 cents.
